Diane J. Ackerman

After working in the construction industry for many years Diane saw the need to improve the communication gap between generations. She has a B.A. in Conflict Resolution and M.S. in Behavioral Management.  She became a certified Hypnotist and NLP Practitioner in 1998.  In 2000, she opened Alternate Pathways, Inc., a Holistic Information Center, where she conducted workshops for Self-Empowerment, Anger Management and Life Enrichment. She has since founded Alternate Pathways Outreach Inc., a 501(c)3, not-for-profit, organization that helps advance self-esteem, improve communication skills and provide the tools and incentives needed to release the limiting thought patterns that hold one back both at home and in the workplace.

For five years Diane had volunteered at “The Anthony House”, a homeless and transitional shelter in Zellwood, Florida, where her course work in stress and anger management was an integral part of the Adult Leadership Program. This experience had prompted Diane to write her first book, “The Gathering”, a collection of real life situations presented in short stories and story poems.  They are meant to bring about an awareness of how we tend to hold our past as a testimony for our future. Additionally, those experiences led Diane to develop LEEP (Life Enrichment Education Program), a four part workshop that is designed to prepare at-risk adults and ex-offenders to reenter the working society

Diane has shared her poetry with Deepak Chopra on satellite radio as well as local radio stations. She was published in Aerosports magazine in 2004 and has bi-monthly articles in Velocity Magazine and The Legal News. Along with her private practice Diane is working with “New Beginnings”, a transitional facility for the homeless in Clermont, Florida. She conducts parenting classes for young mothers as well as the “LEEP” Life Enrichment Education Program for the men’s group.

Diane uses her subtle humor along with real-world experience to prompt her clients and her readers to tap into their intuitive feelings and their higher source for guidance and enlightenment.  It is her intention to bring emotional healing and understanding to people from all walks of life through the message of forgiveness and unconditional love.

Robert Singletary

Bob is a native Floridian who has been providing social services to various organizations for over 30 years. His vast experience in dealing with those who find it difficult to adjust to mainstream working and social environments has enhanced his compassion and overwhelming desire to make a difference. Being a cancer survivor from 2002, Bob has a firm belief in the body, mind and spiritual connection. Utilizing a combination of allopathic and holistic treatments, along with a positive attitude, Bob has refused to take ownership of this dis-ease. By standing firm to his convictions he has received the God given strength to overcome this mental and physical challenge.

Most recently, Bob was the director of the Adult Learning Center Program at “The Anthony House”, a homeless and transitional shelter in Zellwood, Florida for six years. Both he and Diane believe that addictions and poverty cannot be eliminated by declaring war on them; they must be dealt with using patience, understanding and a willingness to create change. They point out the difference between choices and decisions, while offering people the tools to distinguish what is real from what is thought or perceived to be real. They instill the use of personal empowerment, integrity and accountability.

Bob and Diane developed  LEEP, The Life Enrichment Education Program, in an effort to not only alleviate but eliminate these repetitive, limiting thought patterns. It provides the means to comprehend the consequences of one’s actions without taking them as personal assaults that embrace feelings of shame, fear and guilt

Bob is currently the Training Director at “New Beginnings”, a transitional facility for at-risk and homeless men, women and children in Clermont, Florida.

Both Diane and Bob are available for public speaking and workshops.
