“LEEP” - Life Enrichment Education Program
The Alternate Pathways Outreach Life Enrichment Education Program is a four part group workshop that addresses the basic skills needed to assist one in entering or re-entering the workforce and enhancing their personal lives and professional relationships. It is recommended for those willing to make positive changes in their lifestyles, perceptions and behaviors.
It is our intention to provide the tools and incentives to promote self-empowerment and to establish a healthy, positive self-esteem by releasing limiting thought patterns and practices. We assist our students in the discovery of the root cause of their angry outbursts and out-of -control habits and behaviors. Once these behavioral obstacles are identified we teach our students how to fight fair by communicating and negotiating rather than demanding and controlling a situation. This allows the student to grow beyond the barriers and limitations of their past and create a new and exciting future
Effective communication is the key component to successful relationships at home, in the work place and in social settings. Our program places special emphasis on developing vital communication skills such as active, empathic listening. In addition, the LEEP Program offers instruction in such necessary skills as household budgeting, dressing for success, personal hygiene, social courtesy, ethics, goal setting, time management and prioritizing, parenting and more.
Students who successfully complete the Alternate Pathways Outreach Life Enrichment Education Program gain a strong foundation for personal growth and professional development leading to long term positive change in their lives.
